Tracking Student Attendance
This feature of AccuSQL allows you to track students' visits to your center. Think of it as an electronic replacement of your sign-in sheets. When the student arrives at your center, he or she signs in by entering their ID. The ID can be in any format you like, and the student can either type this ID on the keyboard or scan their student ID card with an ID reader to sign in. After signing in, AccuSQL automatically begins tracking the visit.
During the sign-in process you can also collect information from the student such as their demographics information, instructor/professor, service they are using and the staff member they are meeting with in the center. This information is helpful when generating reports and each item can be turned on or off to suit your particular needs.
After finishing their visit to your center, the students can sign out by either entering their ID again or by scanning their ID card. This way the software can track how long the students visited. If the student fails to sign out, you can create rules to determine the course of action. For example, you could create a rule that would sign a student out and give them a one hour attendance time if he/she fails to sign out in 3 hours. You can also configure the software to present multiple surveys to the students to capture the quality of the service received while in the center.
This gives you information on both the attendance and usage of services. You can use this information to meet your grants reporting requirements or to improve your services. If you are using any kind of manual method for tracking attendance and reporting, you will be amazed how much easier this process will be with AccuSQL!
How it Works
To use AccuSQL for tracking sign-ins, simply install the software on a dedicated computer in your center’s reception area and require your students to sign in and out. To sign in, students simply enter their ID number (e.g. social security number or other student ID) and select the service they want to use. To sign out, students simply enters their ID number again. The sign-in process is quick and easy. For an example set up at a real center, click here.
