AccuSL Software
NOTE: AccuSL Replaces the older WebLink software.
AccuSL is a web application that works with the AccuSQL 11 database. This software makes the following functions available via the web:
- Students can view, schedule and cancel appointments via the web.
- Staff members (tutors, advisors, etc) can view and cancel their own appointments via the web.
- Students can view, register, or cancel seminars or workshops via the web.
- New students can add themselves to AccuSQL via the web (if allowed by the system administrator).
Since both the AccuSQL desktop software and AccuSL use the same database, an appointment made by either one of these applications is immediately recorded in the database and thus available for the other application (real-time updates).
AccuSL follows the same appointment scheduling rules you set up using your desktop software.
Note that AccuSL is an optional add-on to the AccuSQL software. This means you can schedule appointments and do the other functions you do via WebLink by using the desktop application. The WebLink software simply makes these functions available via the web. However, you cannot use the WebLink software without the desktop software as the desktop software is needed for setting up the database.
Server Requirements
AccuSL was developed with SilverLight, state of the art technology from Microsoft. To deploy AccuSL, you need a web server running Microsoft IIS 7. Windows Server 2008 is recommended, but you can also use Windows 7 Ultimate, Enterprise, or Professional and Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, or Enterprise.
Installation
AccuSL includes one complimentary remote assistance session to help set it up on your server. Additional sessions (e.g. to reinstall the software on a new server) are available for a fee. Contact us for the details.
